Spark R&D has extensively worked on the Japanese 3-cylinder to define several full systems proposals to improve the design, sound and performance of the bike.
The first important challenge for Spark's R&D was the study of a full EURO5+ homologated system for regular road circulation, a system able to increase the bike's performance without any intervention on map or ECU. Spark's long experience on 3-cylinder engines, for example in Moto2, was definitely a good starting point to size the manifolds in the best way and then combine them with a unique catalytic converter among those on the market: high performance, with racing cells and highly soaked with noble metals.
For the approved versions, it was possible to achieve the decibels required by the regulations thanks to a pre-silencer made of aisi304 stainless steel with very thin thickness lightening the motorbike, with a design that perfectly integrates into the lines of the motorbike. During the R&D process great attention was paid to the sound: extremely dark at idle and able to maintain the spectacular intake sound of the three-cylinder engine. From an aesthetic point of view, the proposals are different to meet the preferences of the most demanding motorcyclists.
The 2024 innovation for the Japanese naked is an absolutely unconventional kit, with 3 exits, that requires the use of state-of-the-art machinery such as the 3D laser for asymmetrical coupling of the 3 outlets. Such full system is EURO5+ homologated and consists of the Aisi304 stainless steel manifold, 3in1 pipe with catalytic converter and silencer box with 3 outlets, like the cylinders of the Japanese CP3. The outlets are enhanced by a mesh with a strong racing connotation. This system is available in 2 different finishes: Scotch brite stainless steel (GYA8898IOM) or with black ceramic treatment (GYA8898BOM).
The second proposal recalls the previous successful Euro 4 version: the full system is composed of Aisi304 stainless steel manifold and 3in1 pipe with catalytic converter, silenced box with single silencer, low mounting and extremely aggressive. It is possible to choose exactly the same 2020 Moto2 World Champion Grid-O full titanium silencer with visible TIG welding (GYA8886TOM) or the super aggressive MotoGp (GYA8887TOM), in titanium or dark style, round, very short and provided with large diameter emphasizing the 3-cylinder sound.
The other system which is also EURO5+ homologated evokes the lateral Moto2 system: Aisi304 stainless steel manifold, 3in1 pipe with catalytic converter, silenced box with lateral titanium pipe provided with carbon cover and an extremely racing silencer option. Again, you can choose exactly the same 2020 Moto2 World Champion Grid-O full titanium silencer with visible TIG welding (GYA8889TOM) or the super aggressive MotoGp (GYA8890TOM), in titanium or dark style, round, very short and provided with large diameter emphasizing the 3-cylinder sound.
The last full system homologated with Aisi304 stainless steel 3in1 catalyzed collector is characterized by a silencing box with double exit provided with a MotoGp-style mesh (GYA8888IOM). Such proposal elaborates the double exit OEM exhaust: the racing mesh adds extra touch of character without upsetting the essence of the bike.
Finally, the racing and extreme proposal: full system with Aisi304 stainless steel manifolds, 3in1 racing TIG welded pipe in titanium and low mounting Grid-O silencer (GYA8891T).
